UAE and Oman to the final of the WAFF Beach Soccer Championship

The UAE and Oman teams qualified for the final of West Asian Beach Soccer Championship, hosted by the Saudi Federation in the Jazan region.
 
The UAE team booked a place in the final scene by beating Bahrain 4-2 on Sunday, May 22, 2022, while Oman team beat its Palestine 6-3.
 
The two teams will meet Monday on 23 May at 20:00, in the final match that will be held at Jazan Beach Stadium, and the winner of them will win the title of the second edition of the tournament, which the WAFF has brought back to the calendar of its competitions after a break since 2013, when the first edition was held in Iran.
 
Moreover, at 18:30 from on the same day, the Bahrain and Palestine teams will meet in the match to determine the third and fourth places, and before that, at five, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon will meet in the last match in the round of determining places from 5 to 7, which witnessed the Kuwaiti team’s win over Lebanon 3-2 on Sunday as well.
 
The current version is sponsored by PepsiCo “Aquafina” and Al-Omais Medical Hospitals in Jazan, and is held within the joint cooperation agreement signed between the WAFFand the World Beach Soccer Organization “BSWW”.
 
The first edition took place in 2013 hosted by Iran, whose team won the title, and Oman team came second, Palestine third and Bahrain fourth, and the tournament in general witnessed the participation of 7 teams divided into two groups, the first group included Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon and Qatar, while the second group included Iran and Palestine and Iraq.
