WAFF and PRO Company Sign An Agreement to Market the 2nd WAFF U18 Boys Championship

The West Asian Football Federation signed an agreement with PRO Company to market the 2nd WAFF U18 Boys Championship, which will be hosted by Iraq in the cities of Basra and Erbil during the period from November 20 to December 1, 2021.
 

Khalil Al Salem, General Secretary of WAFF, and Tarek Al Hajj, COO of PRO Company, signed this agreement, which includes the sale of the commercial rights and TV production of the championship, in addition to all marketing operations, an opening ceremony, and operations and logistical assistance.

Al Hajj expressed PRO Company’s pride in signing with WAFF, the leading in the region through it’s activity, remarkable vitality, and the volume of activities and competitions it organizes at all levels. He stressed that the agreement is a starting point towards further joint cooperation.

On the other hand, Al Salem considered this agreement to be a new joint cooperation between the two parties that contributes to more success, while confirming the value of WAFF’s championships, which have become a milestone at the regional and continental levels.

The marketing of this championship comes as a continuation of the success of WAFF in attracting sponsors and increasing the overall promotion of all age group championships, as WAFF was previously able to acquire sponsorship for the 1st WAFF U18 Boys Championship that was held in Palestine in 2019, as well as the 7th WAFF U15 Boys Championship in Jordan during the same year, and finally the 2nd WAFF U23 Championship that took place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The 2nd WAFF U18 Championship will be held with the participation of 9 teams: Iraq (host), Jordan, UAE, Bahrain, Syria, Kuwait, Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and they will be distributed during the draw scheduled for November 9, 2021 into two groups, with 5 teams in one group, and 4 in the other.
