Jordan and Saudi Arabia to the WAFF U23 Final

Jordan and Saudi Arabia have qualified for the final of the second WAFF Under 23 Men Championship currently being held in Saudi Arabia.

The two teams will meet in the final match at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium.

The Jordanian team managed to beat its Syrian counterpart 5-2 in a match that took place on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Khobar, within the semi-finals of the tournament.

The goals of the Jordanian team were scored by Khaled Sayahin (6’), Yazan Naimat (20’), Hadi Al-Hourani (45’), and Muhammad Abu Rezeq (82’), and Ibrahim Saadeh (90+4’), and for Syria, Muhammad Rihaniya 62’), Ali Bashmani (86’).

On the other hand, host, Saudi national team, managed to bypass its Iraqi counterpart at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, with a sole goal, bearing the signature of Khaled Al-Ghannam at the 47th minute.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation, Mr. Yasser Al-Mashal, attended the match that brought together Iraq and Saudi Arabia, along with several senior attendees, amid a mass follow-up that added more excitement to the meeting.
