With unified goals, the first group teams will be participating in the Second West Asia U18 Girls Championship, which the Bahrain federation hosts at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium starting tomorrow, Sunday, December 29, and until January 6, 2020.

During the press conference held today at the “Swiss – BelHotel Saif Al Bahrain”, the coaches of Lebanon, UAE, Iraq, and Jordan teams, Concurred on the importance of the tournament to prepare for the upcoming Asian qualifiers and gain the necessary technical expertise.

On the other hand, the coaches of Bahrain, Palestine, and Kuwait of the second group agreed that the increase in the number of participating teams is a remarkable development for women’s Football in West Asia.

Prior to the press conference, the coordination meeting for the tournament was held under the chairmanship of matches Commissioners “Abeer Al-Rantisi” and “Urouba Al-Hussaini” in the presence of the Championship director “Hassan Ismail”, referee assessor “Yusuf Mirza”,Waff members, local organizing committee, representatives of the participating teams and the medical and security authorities.

During the meeting, the technical and administrative championship instructions were discussed, the competition matters and their regulations, the players list and the referees matters were also reviewed, where “Mirza” indicated the law 2010-2019 will be applied as was reviewed Medical, media, and security plan matters.

According to the tournament system, the teams of each group play according to the league system from one stage and in the event of the end of the original time for the matches to determine the fifth and sixth and third and fourth places, by drawing, the penalty shootout is used directly to indicate the winner.

The tournament will open tomorrow, December 29, by meeting Iraq and the UAE (16:30 Pm Bahrain time) within the first group competitions, for which the Lebanese and Jordanian teams will also meet at 17:30 Pm, and the third match playing at 20:30 pm Bahrain team against Kuwait in the second group.
