The Lebanese national team won the title of the second edition of “waff u18” championship for girls on Monday, January 6 in Bahrain.

The Lebanese team went up on the podium to lift the first-place award after defeating Bahrain 3-0 (HT 1-0), in the final match which was held at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Manama.

Before the final match, Jordan got third place after defeating Palestine (Fourth), with a result of 3-1 (HT 0-1), and Before that, the UAE team took fifth place after winning against Kuwait 2-0 on Sunday, 5 December.

At the end, the captain of the Lebanese national team, Reeda Wahhab, received the first place award, and the first three teams were awarded the medals by each of the West Asian Federation Secretary General Khalil Al-Salem, the Vice-President of the Bahrain Federation Ali Al-Buainain, the Secretary-General of the Bahrain Federation Ibrahim Al-Buainain, and Suzan Shalabi head of the women’s committee in “Waff” and the members Amal Bou Shalakh (UAE), Sheikha Hessa Al Khalifa (Bahrain), Stephanie Naber (Jordan).

Also, the individual awards were given to the Lebanese Laila Iskandar, who won the tournament top-scorer title with 7 goals, the Palestinian Emily Ibrahim (best player), Bahraini Zahra Ali (best goalkeeper), in addition to the Fair Play Cup for the Lebanese team, as well as honoring Referees who managed the championship matches.

The Lebanese national team scored its 3 goals through Leila Iskandar at the 46th and 87th minutes and Farah Al-Tayyar (53).
